Speak 4 Unity project aims to bridge the intercultural, intergenerational and social divide by ensuring mutual respect and acceptance between national and migrant youths. This will be achieved by highlighting the impact of hate-speech in our communities and encouraging young people to foster an all-inclusive, welcoming society.
Speak for Unity aims to enhance the capacity of youths to address and mitigate hate speech through targeted educational initiatives.

Objectives
- Promote positive attitudes towards migrants by equipping youths with the knowledge and skills needed to identify hate speech, while highlighting its impact on both those who partake in it, and those who are its’ victims.
- Increase participation and acceptance across generations and cultures, and enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of educational resources.
- Educate young people on the values of equality and how their words, thoughts and actions can influence the meaningful inclusion of migrants/refugees/asylum seekers/international protection applicants in their communities, encouraging them to make virtuous choices.
Project activities
- Develop an innovative training toolkit that equips youth workers and practitioners with knowledge required when working with vulnerable young people and implementing new peer-led programmes. This toolkit can be used in educational organisations working in the fields of youth, social inclusion and family learning.
- Develop a culturally sensitive, innovative and exciting Minecraft game which provides an immersive world for young people of all nationalities to gain a better understanding of the impact of hate speech and become more accepting of other cultures.
- Events for citizens and educators.
